UltraLyte 170 XLWe’re suppliers and manufacturers of UltraLyte 170 XL, a high-performance chemical for use in the anodising process when brightening aluminium.
UltraLyte 170 XL: aluminium chemical brightening agent for the anodising process
One of our most popular, ready-to-use brighteners, UltraLyte 170 XL is available in a range of pack sizes to suit your needs, with speedy, reliable distribution across the UK.
Aluminium substrates are dipped in a bath of UltraLyte 170 XL, with immersion time dependent on the quality and specification of the substrate. Higher spec substrates require less time being immersed, with lower spec requiring more.
Products that can require the use of a chemical brightener as part of the anodising process fall into two categories: functional (aircraft and car components, can production, beer kegs, roofing, sheeting and so on) and decorative (such as kitchen utensils, door handles, bathroom fittings, car alloys and window frames).
UltraLyte 170 XL contains nitric acid and must be used in accordance with NOX regulations: within a suitably-equipped, purpose-built brightening tank containing integral fume extraction and fume scrubber.
Manufactured, supplied and distributed to the UK market by Alutech, we’re able to facilitate orders of any size: from a 25L drum through to a bulk transfer.
